I am a fan of Endnote, one small issue I stumbled upon was that when I edited some entries (specifically journal names) the references list seem to only partially update.
Easy way to solve this problem:
- Open Endnote
- Tools>Open Term Lists> Journals Term List
- Term tab
- Under “Full Journal” is what will be displayed in your reference list and so I found when I edited the name of the journal occasionally the full name would be listed under “Abbreviation” and not “Full Journal”.
- So, if under “Abbreviation” is what “Full Journal” must read, it can be easily edited with the “Edit Term…” button on the right.
- This correct change for the journal name should then be seen when your reference list is refreshed.
